Author Stephen Singular wrote a book about the Ramsey case in 1999. It's called Presumed Guilty. He updated it in 2016-2017. In his book contains a sentence which perfectly sums up the Ramsey case......

""When a town tries to protect itself, the truth becomes obscured."

The Ramsey case wasn't about JonBenet per se.

The case has been, and still is, all about the town of Boulder.

For almost 25 years, everyone has been asking the question WHO killed JonBenet? And for almost 25 years, that question has yielded no results. Know why that is? It's because its the wrong freakin' question.

If you really want to solve this case, you need to ask different questions. It's not WHO killed JonBenet. It's WHY and WHAT. WHY has this case been unsolved for almost 25 years? And WHAT was going on in Boulder in the years prior to the murder that may explain WHY this case is still unsolved.

The Boys In The Zellar get asked often who their favorite suspects are in the case. We always list three, in no particular order.....

1) The Boulder Police Department

2) The Boulder District Attorney's Office

3) St. John's Episcopal Church.

We cannot emphasize it enough. Everyone needs to focus on that Church and the people associated with it. Now, go please read the poem again below. But this time, don't think about WHO when you're reading it, think about WHY and WHAT.

"Poetry is a political act because it involves telling the truth."---June Jordan

Circa 2001-2002, two poems were mailed to an attorney in Boulder Colorado. It was self addressed FOR THE CHILDREN. There was no contact information. No name or phone number. It was anonymous.

Before the attorney left the country in 2003-2004, the attorney sent the Boys In The Zellar one of the poems. He asked us, if possible, to figure it out and get it into the right hands.

Detective Lou Smit was brought on to assist in the Ramsey case in early 1998. Lou heard that these boys from Jersey had this poem, so he gave us a call. After reading the poem to him, he pleaded with us to send the poem to him. He said it was important, so we agreed to send him a copy. Lou quizzed the attorney, and us, about who the writer could possibly be. There was no name, just a Denver postmark. Although Lou said it was important, he said it would be impossible to find out who had written it.

But the Boys In The Zellar can be quite tenacious. It took us 7 long years, but we were finally able to identify who delivered the poems to the attorney, and most importantly, who wrote them. Sadly, Lou died before we were able to identify the author. We had always wondered why the poem was so important to Lou, now we know exactly why.

We gave that poem to another investigator. After his passing in 2017, most of his files, including the poem, fell into the "wrong hands". The poem was posted on 4 Chan in an attempt to discredit it. But it didn't work. Besides, who needs poems when you have witnesses. ;)

If anyone has any additional information about the poems, or information about the Ramsey case, we urge you to contact us at   theboysinthezellar@yahoo.com  Or you can reach me on twitter @FrankZ2137  Feel free to share this poem far and wide.

And now, the poem. Anything in parenthesis has been added by the BITZ.

In the Spirit of Crazy Horse It's all connected.  In his cocky reverie The truth the three would carry To the steps of the authority to boast of their pernicious spree But he did not know that I could see And therefore was not wary For hidden in the rectory Protected by the church decree He delved in child pornography While elders professed not to see His sister told them it could be He killed the child and honest she His secret would not bury (Based on true events) They did not know he'd changed the key When police would come to query So they broke and entered quietly Though he would claim illicitly And so avoiding calumny A grand sum he was paid to flee And so it was, conveniently Their questions he would parry (based on true events To solve a tale of misconstrue Just look into the offman's pew You'll find their in Ft. Luptons slough Stray cats aplenty, skinned a few On prying stoops their hides did strew And cats blood will scare daughters too While bushes hid their sins from view Richard held the cue The child must die, he did decide The crime arranged, the ritual plyed With church at stake and family pride Three men he chose to end her Though two decried this church a lie Their testimony was denied With ties that run both deep and wide No one could defend her Now some have gone and some have stayed Class defined the roles they played Someday you'll know the masquerade Of Zack the great pretender
