Judge Brinkema

.. National Security Court Judge Brinkema handles cases at the National Security Complex in Alexandria, VA.

She is a Bill Clinton appointed judge and has handled cases regarding Abu Ghraib , multiple terrorism cases plus the Jerry Sterling case(CIA officer who leaked classified info to Iran). 

She is also involved in the Julian Assange case... she handles VERY sensitive cases, National Security cases....

She was the judge that sentenced George Nader... that’s interesting to me.  Also, besides giving Nader the minimum sentence, Judge Brinkema said since he served a year in jail already, he could apply for a “compassionate release” due to the pandemic once he is transferred to the federal prison..... 

Would have been interesting to hear the conversation in that courtroom!
