Maxwell Bail Hearing Day/ Operation Leap Year
And so it begins.
Will she get bail? Will it be denied?
However it goes, the speculation roads open up considerably. If she receives bail, speculation will be rampant that she cooperated with authorities in some way. I'm betting on high bail.......
But I'm hoping for no bail.
Maxwell's legal team is a powerful one. They've already mentioned one option of fighting the charges will be the Epstein Florida plea deal back in the circa 2007-2008.
But what took place before the ink dried on that plea deal?
The FBI's investigation into Epstein, named Operation Leap Year. Just what did they find exactly during the course of that investigation? The Feds had a 53 page indictment, but Acosta had the whole thing "kicked". It's been alleged that Acosta was told to stand down......
"""He’d cut the non-prosecution deal with one of Epstein’s attorneys because he had “been told” to back off, that Epstein was above his pay grade. “I was told Epstein ‘belonged to intelligence’ and to leave it alone,” he told his interviewers in the Trump transition, who evidently thought that was a sufficient answer and went ahead and hired Acosta. (The Labor Department had no comment when asked about this.)
I believe that Florida plea deal defense Maxwell's team may have in place is not only a tactic, but a weapon as well. Just think about it, Maxwell is denied bail. She pleads Not Guilty to the charges. Her attorney's are going to want EVERYTHING disclosed to them.....including what the Fed's found in Leap Year.
And that could be extremely embarrassing for the FBI.
But first things first....let's see how the bail hearing goes.
