The JonBenet Ramsey Case: The Sex Ring Case That Never Was

 Here in the Zellar, our definition of a sex ring is simple...

Two or more people involved in the sexual abuse of a child or children.

The JonBenet Ramsey case occurred on December 26th, 1996. The boys in the Zellar, in the middle of January 1997, came up with a theory about the case. We called it the Sex Ring Theory. We theorized that neither John or Patsy Ramsey killed their child, but they were involved in something which put their daughter in harm's way, and this led to their daughter's death, and both parents helped the killer or killers in covering up the crime.

The Mainstream Media pounded into the American Psyche two theories about the case. The parents did it theory, or the lone intruder theory. 

But one of our favorite sayings here in the Zellar is "When the mainstream media points you in a direction, look the other way".

When the Mainstream Media forms a narrative or narratives about a story, it's very hard to 'break through" those narratives once they've been cemented into the mind of the public.

The Grand Jury for the case disbanded in 1999. There were no indictments issued against the parents.....at least that's what they led the America public to believe. A lifetime gag order was placed on the Grand Jurors and those who testified before the Grand Jury.

So for the next 14 years everyone assumed there were no indictments issued, until 2013, when the Boulder Daily Camera filed a lawsuit and the Judge released a few pages of information....

The information released were the indictments. After 14 years, the American public finally learned that the Grand Jury did indeed indict the parents, two counts each......

But not for Murder.

Both John and Patsy Ramsey were indicted for  "unlawfully, knowingly, recklessly and feloniously permit a child to be unreasonably placed in a situation which posed a threat of injury to the child’s life or health, which resulted in the death of JonBenét Ramsey, a child under the age of sixteen.”

and

John and Patsy Ramsey were also indicted for “unlawfully, knowingly and feloniously render assistance to a person, with intent to hinder, delay and prevent the discovery, detention, apprehension, prosecution, conviction and punishment of such person for the commission of a crime, knowing the person being assisted has committed and was suspected of the crime of murder in the first degree and child abuse resulting in death.”

So the Grand Jury did indict the parents, just not for Murder. And District Attorney Hunter refused to sign off on the indictments.

Just a reminder of what the Boys in the Zellar theorized over 16 years earlier, just a few weeks after the murder....

In the upcoming days, weeks and months, the boys in the Zellar will be releasing information we've acquired during our 24 years of researching and investigating the Ramsey case.

So forget everything you know about the Ramsey case, erase it from your mind. This case was never about JonBenet, her death was just a symptom. Everyone forgot to look at the town of Boulder.....well...not everyone forgot. :)
